Synergies between ESIF and Horizon 2020 for Key Enabling Technologies

Objectives of the day
1. Raise awareness on Key Enabling Technologies (advanced materials, nanotechnology, micro- and nano-electronics, industrial biotechnology, photonics, and advanced manufacturing systems) as drivers for industrial competitiveness in regions. Encourage regions to take-up KETs that are relevant for their smart specialisation.
    2. Stimulate interaction between national/regional actors and H2020 industrial and research & innovation stakeholders in order to enhance synergies.

    3. Promote complementarities  between the regions (promote interregional cooperation).

    Target audience

    1. Regional and national stakeholders:

    • Regions and national authorities involved in Smart Specialisation strategie;
    • Members of the Member States' Group on KETs;
    • Regions targeting KETs as an investment priority.

    2. Research, innovation and industry stakeholders:

    • FP7 / H2020 stakeholders (RTOs, research, industry, NCPs, ETPs, EEN network…);
    • Sherpa members of the KETs High Level Grou;
    • cPPP and JTI Stakeholders (associations).
