 MIRRIS Final Conference

Better exploiting European funds for Research and Innovation:The Quest for Excellence of EU13

26 May 2016, Brussels. The aim of this high-level conference is to present the key factors that make an impact on the participation of EU13 countries to the Research and Innovation programmes funded by the European Commission – FP7/H2020. The main finding of the research will be presented and discussed together with some of the beneficiary countries of EU 13 and with the European Commission, in order to hear their views on cooperation with MIRRIS and the impact achieved.

The final conference of the MIRRIS project (July 2013 to June 2016) took place on 26 May in Brussels attended by an attentive audience of 60 R&D&I stakeholders mainly from EU13 representation offices/delegations based in Brussels. However, as MIRRIS coordinator, Andrea Di Anselmo, Vice-President of Meta Group, pointed out, the day’s event was neither a conference nor final in that the momentum gathered over the 3 years of the project was set to continue with new and follow-on actions.​..

 MIRRIS Scoping Paper

Update September 2015
The latter MIRRIS Scoping Paper Addendum provides an analysis of the preliminary data regarding EU13 countries’ comparative participation in FP7 and in Horizon2020.The analysis has been based on the data concerning 2007 and 2008 of FP7 calls – representing 19.242 beneficiaries for a total of 5,9 billion – and on a sample of more than 3500 H2020 projects – for a total of some 15.812 beneficiaries engaged and a budget of 6,2 billion €.

Update July 2015
During the various policy dialogues the question of the integration of EU13 stakeholders in European networks has been raised.
